I feel very fortunate to have grown up in Lubbock surrounded by abundant wildlife and ranches in the rolling plains of West Texas. I first began hunting blue and bobwhite quail behind my grandfathers’ house on the outskirts of Andrews. My family also had a deer lease for 25 years in Ozona. Then when I was in junior high my father purchased a ranch near Dickens. These three ranches gave me the opportunity to learn, love, and respect this part of Texas and all its wildlife.
My love of the outdoors led me to get my bachelor’s degree in ranch management at Texas Tech University, where I worked at the Wildlife Toxicology Lab studying Northern Bobwhite quail throughout the rolling plains. My passion for quail continued to grow as I became more involved with landowners and managing properties for quail.
Currently I am managing a ranch near Colorado City for quail and whitetail deer. As well as working for GTG Operating, a petroleum company. On the weekends you can find me outfitting deer, turkey, and quail hunts while also managing my family ranch in Dickens. With my position at Capitol Ranch, I hope to show my clients exactly why I love West Texas. I look forward to helping my clients with any farm and ranch real estate needs they may have.
