From ranch management/ownership to closing complex multi-million-dollar contracts, his experience has laid the foundation for an in-depth understanding of the value, qualities and production capabilities of all types of ranches.
Throughout his professional career, J.D.’s passion has always been about building relationships in the Farm and Ranch real estate industry. He has worked as a site development manager and a ranch manager for Kenansville Cattle Company overseeing 10,000 acres, cattle operations, wildlife management, and sod production. He owns and operates Pecan Branch Cattle Company and has Ranch Sales experience with Capitol Ranch Real Estate receiving the Top Producer award in 2018,2019 and 2020.
Originally from Monahans, Texas, J.D. spent some of his earlier years in St. Cloud, Florida before returning to the Lone Star State. Now residing in Bellville for 16 years and still owns a ranch locally. J.D. specializes in properties across several South-Central Texas counties including Austin, Fayette, Waller, Colorado, Washington, Lee, Fort Bend, and Brazos Counties.
Excellent communication skills lay the foundation for creating strong client relationships between J.D. and his clients. He is great at establishing their needs and educating them on the buying and selling process. Throughout every transaction, he advises them on the best marketing strategies, answers questions, and is experienced in contract negotiations.
J.D. has served as a board member of the Austin County Cattleman’s Association since 2008. He enjoys spending weekends showing properties and watching his children’s sporting events. He loves fishing, hunting, and barbecues with family and friends.
